With the explosive growth of poker in the US and now the world, it only
made sense that the World Series of Poker would expand further into
Europe. This year marks the first ever World Series of Poker Europe.
Interestingly enough, more than half the final table at the 2007 World
Series of Poker in Las Vegas were born
or resided outside the United States. This event will mark the first
time that a WSOP bracelet will be awarded outside of Las Vegas.
The new poker series will be held at three casinos operated by London
Clubs International – Fifty, The Casino at The Empire and the Sportsman.
WSOP 2007 - Empire casino leicester square poker
The inaugural WSOP Europe will be held across three Casinos in the
centre on London, with the final stages being played out at the brand
new Casino at the Empire situated in London's tourist epicentre,
Leicester Square.
The Casino at The Empire will also be the host casino for a two-day,
£5,000 (approximately $9,800 U.S.) Pot-Limit Omaha tournament starting
September 8.
On September 10, the WSOP Europe Main Event - a six-day, £10,000
No-Limit Texas Hold'Em Championship - will begin at The Casino at The
Empire, The Sportsman and Fifty. The playing field will be consolidated
beginning September 13 at The Casino at The Empire.

London's largest casino opened after a long closure and Vegas flair
